“If Idaho gets ranked choice voting, we’re finished. Its that simple,” said Bryan Smith, the new National Committeeman of the Republican Party in Idaho.
“Ranked Choice Voting” was just one of the topics Smith spoke about on Wednesday evening at Stand Up for Idaho in Idaho Falls. He was recently elected as the National Committeeman for the Republican Party.
Dorothy Moon, the IDGOP Chairwoman, addressed ranked choice voting in columns published in papers across the state:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin set to speak against ranked-choice voting in Idaho Falls (Idaho State Journal)
“Make no mistake, this initiative is a pernicious plot to take away your ability to vote for conservative lawmakers. The blanket primary takes away your right to nominate your own candidates — just as BYU doesn’t get to decide who starts at quarterback for BSU, neither should Democrats get to vote on who represents the Republican Party in the general election.” - (Dorothy Moon, “Idahoans, Just Say No to Reclaim Idaho and Ranked Choice Voting.”)
Sarah Palin will speak about her experience with ranked choice voting in Alaska. The event will be held in Idaho Falls on August 19th at the Melaleuca Conference and Event Center at 4609 W. 65th S.
General admission is at 6:30 p.m
